The SUMMIT Trial (Scaling Up Maternal Mental health care by Increasing access to Treatment) is a research study exploring how talk therapy can be used to treat depression during pregnancy or the first 6 months postpartum. The study wants to learn who can deliver talk therapy to treat depression (trained nurses vs. behavioral health specialists) and whether talk therapy can be delivered by telemedicine (video visits) to treat depression.
