The purpose of this study is to assess the effect of mandatory recitations on student learning and beliefs about chemistry in general, organic and analytical chemistry courses. Specifically, we are looking at student's beliefs about learning chemistry, the content and structure of chemistry knowledge and its connection to the real world.
