Community Resource Referral Platforms, such as NCCARE360, are a key tool to address community members' social needs, such as a lack of access to healthy food, stable housing, accessible transportation, and steady employment. While the experience that medical organizations have had in screening and referring patients for social needs through these platforms has been well-documented in the research literature, the experience of non-medical organizations has not. Through qualitative interviews with key stakeholders, my Master's Paper will describe the experience of non-medical organizations in using NCCARE360 to refer individuals to community-based organizations. It will also describe the barriers and facilitators for these non-medical entities in conducting screenings and referrals for social needs.
