Early Stage Lung Cancer trial

This is a study for people with early-stage inoperable lung cancer. We want to find out if adding a drug called atezolizumab to stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) is more effective than SBRT alone for this type of cancer.

Age & Gender

  • 18 years ~ 99 years
  • Male, Female

  • Standard business hours (M-F, 8-5)

What will be asked of you

If you decide to take part, you will have a physical exam and some labs drawn. You will receive a type of radiation called SBRT. You may or may not receive a total of 8 doses of an infusion called atezolizumab, once every 3 weeks. You will follow-up with our office every 6 months for 5 years.

5 years

Looking for Specific Volunteers

Able to participate:

  • You have early stage lung cancer
  • You did not receive surgery for your lung cancer
  • Willing to undergo a CT scan
  • Willing to have pulmonary function testing

Not eligible if:

  • No current heart conditions
  • You do not have an autoimmune disease
  • You are not pregnant
