Learning to enhance push-off forces during walking

We are examining how push-off forces during walking can be manipulated with feedback.

Age & Gender

  • 18 years ~ 80 years
  • Male, Female, Gender Inclusive

Visit Availability

  • Standard business hours (M-F, 8-5)

North Carolina (Statewide)

What will be asked of you

You will be asked to walk on a treadmill while seeing feedback on a TV screen about your walking. You will be asked to change how you walk based on the feedback.

In-person visits:

Total length of participation:
3 sessions over 3 weeks

Looking for Specific Volunteers

Able to participate:

  • you had a stroke more than 6 months ago

Not eligible if:

  • you have heart, bone, or muscle problems that limit your walking
