In this study, we want to learn more about the combination of a HER2-directed injection with endocrine therapy to treat newly diagnosed HER2-positive breast cancer after surgery. The study is available at all 4 REX Cancer Center locations: Raleigh, Cary, Garner, Wakefield
During the first year, you will receive HER2 targeted therapy as an injection once every three weeks. These visits will also include an exam with your provider and a meeting with your research coordinator. At a few of these visits, you will have blood drawn and answer some questionnaires. Your heart function will be monitored every 3 months. After the first year, your follow-up visits will change to an exam with the provider once every 6 months.
