Activity Context

In this pilot study, we want to find out more about the activities and health of patients after a heart attack or stent procedure.

Age & Gender

  • 18 years ~ 99 years
  • Male, Female, Gender Inclusive

Visit Availability

  • Standard business hours (M-F, 8-5)

North Carolina (Statewide)

What will be asked of you

If you decide to take part, you will answer a set of health questionnaires on the phone with a research assistant. You will also attend one in-person study visit lasting about 80 minutes. You will wear 2 non-invasive devices that track physical activity over 9 days and use a smartphone app on your personal device which will ask you to answer short surveys each day for 8 days.

Looking for Specific Volunteers

Able to participate:

  • you have had a myocardial infarction (heart attack) or stent procedures in the last 60 days
  • you are at least 18 years old
  • you have access to a smartphone and are willing to download a mobile application

Not eligible if:

  • you are a non-English speaker
  • have a diagnosis of Somatoform Disorder, Schizophrenia, Bipolar disorder, or any cognitive impairment
  • do not have a working phone number
  • are in a skilled nursing facility, rehab facility, or a long-term care hospital
