This study tests whether the investigational product RL-007 improves cognitive impairment associated with schizophrenia

Age & Gender

  • 18 years ~ 55 years
  • Male, Female, Gender Inclusive

Visit Availability

  • Standard business hours (M-F, 8-5)
  • Extended hours (M-F, early morning or evening)
  • Visits can be combined with regular clinical appointments

Location

North Carolina (Durham, Orange, Wake)

What will be asked of you

At each visit, you will meet with a member of the study team to complete interviews and questionnaires. The study will also involve vital signs, blood draws, EKGs, and collecting urine samples. Participants must be willing to take the provided study medication everyday.

Incentives

Participants will be compensated at the end of each study visit, Visa giftcard., gas reimbursement

Looking for Specific Volunteers

Able to participate:

  • Have a diagnosis of schizophrenia
  • Outpatient, with no hospitalization for worsening of schizophrenia within 3 months prior to screening
  • Be on stable antipsychotic treatment, except for clozapine

Not eligible if:

  • Prior exposure to RL-007
  • Current diagnosis of another major psychiatric disorder, intellectual disability, or any major neurological disease, brain injury, epilepsy, or severe brain trauma.
  • Known sensitivity to any of the planned study interventions, or components thereof, or drug or other allergy
  • Has undergone electroconvulsive therapy within the past 12 months
