Radiation Therapy and Dry Mouth Study

The purpose of this study is to test the safety and effectiveness of a gene therapy called AAV2-hAQP1. This gene therapy will be used to help participants with dry mouth due to radiation therapy.

Age & Gender

  • 18 years ~ 99 years
  • Male, Female

Visit Availability

  • Standard business hours (M-F, 8-5)

United States (Nationwide)

What will be asked of you

At each monthly visit, you will be asked to complete assessments and provide your medical history. You will then receive the study drug in your salivary gland.

Looking for Specific Volunteers

Able to participate:

  • You completed radiation 3 years or more ago for head and neck cancer
  • You have no history of any other cancer

Not eligible if:

  • You have been a part of another research study within last 3 months
  • You have been previously treated with gene therapy
  • You currently smoke or have smoked within last 3 years
  • You have poorly controlled diabetes
