ChatGPT Student Usage Study

The purpose of this research study is to understand how students use ChatGPT alongside Google Scholar and the library catalog to conduct scholarly research. The study will consist of a survey, an observational study, and a short post-observation interview. The results of this research will be used to make general recommendations for library professionals to better understand and engage students' information retrieval strategies amidst ChatGPT.
