We are studying people with COPD and healthy volunteers to see if the response to the nasal flu vaccine can tell us more about COPD control. To do this, we will collect nasal and blood samples before and for up to 3 weeks after the nasal flu vaccine.
At the first visit, we will ask you questions, have you do breathing and blood tests to see if you are able to take part. If so, we will collect blood and 3 different types of nose samples. We will then give you the nasal flu vaccine. You will come back on days 1, 2, 3, 7 and 21 after the flu vaccine to repeat these collections. You will also answer questions at each visit.
$75 per visit plus $75 for completing all visits (up to $675)
