We want to learn if a new, minimally invasive device can collect and detect tissue surface cells from the esophagus without sedation.
You will be asked to come early to your scheduled, upper endoscopy. At this time, you will complete some questionnaires. We will then administer the device (called an EsoCheck) to collect cells from your esophagus. You will then proceed to your upper endoscopy, as scheduled. About a day later we will contact you over the phone for a brief follow-up.
