Movement Characteristics in Virtual Reality

In this study, we want to find out more about the relationship between jumping and running tasks and a virtual reality task. We also want to find out how a recent concussion (within the last 9 months) may impact completing these tasks.

Age & Gender

  • 18 years ~ 35 years
  • Male, Female, Gender Inclusive

Visit Availability

  • Extended hours (M-F, early morning or evening)
  • Weekend hours, if needed

Location

North Carolina (Statewide)

What will be asked of you

If you decide to take part, you will attend 1 study visit with 2 parts. First, you will be asked to complete a virtual reality task at a variety of speeds. You will then complete 4 standard fitness assessments including sprinting and jumping.

Incentives

Participants will be provided with objective data on their performance upon request

Looking for Specific Volunteers

Able to participate:

  • You participate in club sports
  • You participate in sport activity recreationally
  • You have had a concussion within the last 9 months

Not eligible if:

  • You are unable to participate in athletic activity due to injury
