Exploring Work Values in North Carolina Universities

The purpose of this research study is to explore how work values are developed by low-wage workers in the housekeeping profession. Additionally, this research study searches for differences how those work values are met within the public and private employment sector. Participants will undergo a 30-45 minute interview that includes questions about how personal work values are developed and how workers attempt to brings harmony between their work values and how their jobs honor them. These interviews will be audio recorded and transcribed to observe similar themes of work values. All information within the study will be anonymized and no singular participant will be identified in the research study's products.
