Reduced Treatment after Surgery in Triple Negative Breast Cancer Patients

In this study, we want to learn if observation after surgery will be as effective at preventing cancer from coming back as completing 6 more months of pembrolizumab after surgery.

Age & Gender

  • 18 years ~ 99 years
  • Male, Female

Visit Availability

  • Standard business hours (M-F, 8-5)

North Carolina (Statewide)

What will be asked of you

At each visit you will have a blood draw and physical exam. If you are on the treatment arm, you will receive a 30 minute infusion every 3 weeks. The study also asks you to complete surveys at different intervals. We will follow-up with you every 6 months for 5 years.

Looking for Specific Volunteers

Able to participate:

  • You have triple negative breast cancer

Not eligible if:

  • Your cancer is stage IV (metastatic)
  • You have cardiac disease
  • You are taking immunosuppressive medications
  • You have had prior breast cancers
