Physical pain among Black men study

In this study, we want to learn how we can increase awareness and availability of specialty pain care services for Black men. We will do this by asking questions about physical health, access to health care, decision-making, and factors that impact someone's health.

What will be asked of you

This study involves a survey where you will answer questions about how you manage your pain and the intensity of your pain. We will also ask questions about medical conditions you have that cause pain, and what you do to reduce your pain.

Total length of participation:
Complete a survey that takes 40 minutes

Looking for Specific Volunteers

Able to participate:

currently experiencing chronic physical pain or have expereinced chronic physical pain (concurrently or intermittently) over the past three years
male (at birth)
self-identify as Black or African American
must be at least 21 years of age
Able to read and understand English

Not eligible if:

Female
younger than 21
do not self-identify as Black or African American
do not have a working phone number. No Google Voice numbers or Zoom calls accepted
have not experienced chronic physical pain
