The Underrepresentation of Latinx students in NC Gifted Education

The purpose of this study is to analyze traditional student nomination processes for gifted K-8 education programs in North Carolina's public schools. Through the investigation, this study will explore the factors that have contributed to the severe underrepresentation of Latino students in gifted education within most of North Carolina's school districts.
