The Effect of Virtual Interviews on the 2021 Plastic Surgery Match

This application season has been particularly challenging to navigate due to the unprecedented global pandemic of COVID-19. Third-year students were called away from clinical rotations, away rotations were canceled, and interviews were transitioned to a completely virtual platform. In order to understand how these changes have affected our medical student applicants and improve the 2021-2022 application process, we are investigating the experiences of 2021 applicants to integrated plastic surgery programs.
