Drug-Free Treatment for Anxiety

In this study, we want to learn if a device cleared by the FDA for the treatment of anxiety reduces anxiety symptoms in young adults (18-21 years old). The device applies a very low electric current to the earlobes.

Age & Gender

  • 18 years ~ 21 years
  • Male, Female, Gender Inclusive

Visit Availability

  • Standard business hours (M-F, 8-5)
  • Extended hours (M-F, early morning or evening)
  • Weekend hours, if needed

North Carolina (Statewide)

What will be asked of you

At the initial visit (remote), we will ask you questions about your mental health. If you're able to take part, you will receive a device that you take home for daily use for six weeks. You will return to the clinic for another study visit after six weeks. There is another (virtual) study visit six weeks after the initial follow-up visit. There will also be weekly (virtual) brief check-ins.
