The North Carolina refugee community is religiously and culturally diverse. Health professionals are challenged by the influence of war and disasters in how refugees view religion and spirituality. Studies notes that religion and spirituality can provide a sense of meaning for patients diagnosed with an illness or disability. However, it is hard for health professionals to have these discussions with patients. The study team will produce a toolkit to train health professionals who work with refugees to address faith in their services. This toolkit and training will be delivered to refugee service providers in North Carolina.
Thank you for your interest, but this study is recruiting by invitation only.
