Testing whether blood and urine can be used to detect ctHPVDNA in women with known history of cervical cancer

To see whether a blood and urine test can be used to detect circulating tumor HPV DNA in women with cervical cancer. The hope is to be able to use this test in the future to help find cervical cancer earlier and detect any new cancer in people previously treatment for it.

  • 18 years ~ 99 years
  • Female, Focus on recruitment of transgender men

North Carolina (Statewide)

What will be asked of you

The study involves the collection of research urine and blood samples as well as access to tissue samples (ex. biopsy) that were collected per standard of care.

Total length of participation:
Participants will be followed for five years, until withdrawal from study, or death, whichever occurs first.

Looking for Specific Volunteers

Able to participate:

  • New medical diagnoses of cervical cancer
  • Must be willing to comply with study procedures based on the judgement of the investigator or protocol designee

Not eligible if:

  • Pregnant women
