Shaping the iSchools' Identity and Interaction in a Globalized World

The field of information science is rapidly evolving, given the constantly changing relationships between people, information, and technology. In 2005, the iSchools Organization was founded, a collective of post-secondary information science schools dedicated to interdisciplinary approaches to education, research, scholarship, and knowledge exchange. However, as the iSchools Organization aims to connect individual schools from around the world to a common mission, a challenge arises from the fact that each individual school remains part of a university with specific policies, practices, funding mechanisms, and local market demands. In this project, data collected will become part of the user requirements for designing a system that can satisfy the needs and requirements of individual information science schools and the iSchools Organization.
