Navegando COVID-19

The purpose of this study examining ESL teachers and their roles as a interpreters between North Carolina public education and their immigrant students and families. My research questions are (1) how is COVID-19 affecting opportunities of learning among ESL students, and (2) how are ESL teachers seeking to respond to COVID-19 effects on their students? I will be conducting qualitative interviews with ESL teachers and classroom teachers from Nash-Rocky Mount Public Schools to better grasp how ESL teachers are grappling with these troubling times.
