We are studying perceptions of health messages and how we can promote healthier lifestyles for people of all backgrounds.
Participants in this study will first complete online surveys about themselves, which will take approximately 60 minutes. Next, they will partake in a 3-4 hour study session at the UNC-CH Biomedical Research Imaging Center (BRIC). During the session, participants will undergo a functional MRI (fMRI) scan. During the scan, participants will view health messages and complete a judgement task. After the scan, they will complete questionnaires about the health messages and will fill out additional self-report measures. Three months after the in-person session, participants will fill out a follow-up survey online, which will take 30-40 minutes.
$25 for the online surveys, at least $75 for the in-person session, and $25 for the 3-month follow-up, travel reimbursement and a picture of your brain
