To evaluate medical students' levels of burnout and empathy using validated survey tools at the beginning and end of their third year surgery clerkship. Burnout within the medical community is a known problem and there is data demonstrating it begins in training. We want to evaluate if participation within the surgery clerkship contributes to burnout and measure how empathy relates to these symptoms.
Thank you for your interest, but this study is recruiting by invitation only.
