Little Cigar and Cigarillo User Study

The purpose of this research study is to learn about what types of messages, combined with little cigar and cigarillo (LCC) health warning labels, would have the best impact for young adults. To do this, we are doing focus groups with people who currently use little cigars or cigarillos.

What will be asked of you

If you agree to take part in this research, you will be asked to take part in a focus group interview with other participants. In this focus group, we will ask you to look at different messages about health warnings for little cigar and cigarillo products. We will then ask for your opinions. Your participation in this study will take about 60-90 minutes.

About 2-3 hours (A one-time 90 minute focus group interview+ 2 surveys, contact to schedule interviews)

Looking for Healthy Volunteers

Requirements for healthy volunteers are different than for those with a specific condition. If you are interested in becoming a healthy volunteer for this study, use the below categories to determine if you are able to participate.

Able to participate:

  • You are a current little cigar OR cigarillo user (use either product some days/every day)
  • You are between 18 and 25 years old
  • You speak English
  • You have access to a smart phone, laptop or desktop computer with internet access.
  • U.S. Resident

Not eligible if:

  • You have completed a tobacco research study within the past 3 months
