AYA WELL

We are doing this study to test a behavioral weight loss program designed specifically for adolescent and young adult cancer survivors. Study participants will use technology, including a digital smart scale, Fitbit activity tracker, Facebook, and study web app to help them lose weight.

Eating Disorders Genetics Study

The purpose of this study is to better understand genetic, behavioral, and medical factors that might be related to eating disorders such as anorexia nervosa (AN), atypical anorexia nervosa (AAN), bulimia nervosa (BN), binge-eating disorder (BED), and avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID).

Study about prebiotics in healthy adults

In this study, we want to learn more about prebiotics and how they affect the gut health of adults. Specifically, we're interested in two different types of prebiotics. We will see if there are any differences in our gut when healthy adults take either of these prebiotics or a fake pill. Findings from this study may help us see if these prebiotics might be better for adult health.

NC Childhood Experiences and Adult Health Outcomes

Childhood exposures to racism and discrimination are proven to impact physical and mental health outcomes into adulthood. This study is recruiting pilot testers of a survey about experiences in North Carolina as a youth and outcomes as an adult. Medical Device Removing Excess Tissue in Digestive System in Individuals with Type 2 Diabetes on Insulin Therapy

The purpose of this research study is to learn more about the use of the Fractyl Revita System for the treatment of type 2 diabetes in patients who are on insulin therapy and certain other diabetes medications. The Revita System is a device that aids in removing excess tissue from the inner most layer of the small intestine, which is believed to play an important role in the control of type 2 diabetes. The procedure is expected to lead to an improvement in blood sugar control.
