The purpose of this study is to analyze public opinion on the ethics of human genetic editing. Recent developments in CRISPR Cas9 technology has provided the potential for altering human embryos. There is a lot of controversy on the ethics of this subject. This study aims to poll public opinion and prompt discussion of medical ethics as well as analyze the manner that such subjects are discussed through a critical discourse analysis. Currently, the linguistic study of medical ethical debates is still lacking and this study aims to bridge this gap in knowledge by acting as a model for critical discourse analysis on medical ethics.

This study seeks to form a better understanding of factors that affect researchers' decisions regarding whether and how to measure and report fidelity of implementation strategies. Findings may provide insight into the significant decline in implementation strategy fidelity measurement/reporting quality over time and elucidate ways to improve fidelity measurement of implementation strategies going forward.
The death of a parent is a traumatic event for their surviving co-parents and minor children, yet there is a lack of resources and support for widowed parents. The study aims to (1) better understand the reasons that parents express interest in the Widowed Parent Moms' or Dads' Groups, and (2) receive parents' feedback on the program.
The purpose of this research study is to assess nurse educators' readiness to teach about transgender health by considering knowledge, experience, attitude/beliefs, and comfort. In order to consider readiness, several interconnected questions can are asked: Do nurse educators have adequate knowledge about the health of Transgender and Nonbinary (TGNB) individuals? Do nurse educators have experience with caring for and/or teaching about the care of TGNB patients? Are nurse educators confident in their ability to teach about transgender health? Do nurse educators have a generally positive attitude towards TGNB individuals? And, do nurse educators believe that teaching about the health of TGNB individuals is important?
Purpose: The purpose of this research study is to collect participant feedback on Segmentor, a software tool that will be used as a citizen science platform for annotating 3D microscopy images. Procedures (methods): Participants will fill out a survey of up to 30 questions administered via Google forms. Survey questions will consist of radio button responses (e.g., Likert scale responses) and some open-ended questions. Participants will be informed that the survey may take up to 30 minutes to complete. Participants: Participants for this research study are a group of undergraduate students, graduate students, and/or research technicians who have used or are currently using the Segmentor software at their own volition.
Purpose: To use community-engaged methods to identify factors that contribute to trustworthiness in COVID-19 information and improve the COVID-19 messaging and delivery in NC communities.
Community Resource Referral Platforms, such as NCCARE360, are a key tool to address community members' social needs, such as a lack of access to healthy food, stable housing, accessible transportation, and steady employment. While the experience that medical organizations have had in screening and referring patients for social needs through these platforms has been well-documented in the research literature, the experience of non-medical organizations has not. Through qualitative interviews with key stakeholders, my Master's Paper will describe the experience of non-medical organizations in using NCCARE360 to refer individuals to community-based organizations. It will also describe the barriers and facilitators for these non-medical entities in conducting screenings and referrals for social needs.
The purpose of this research study is to interview hospital administrators about maternal telehealth services. More specifically, we examine ways in which hospitals and affiliated facilities use telehealth to address the maternal health needs of their populations, including telehealth service changes in response to COVID-19. We also aim to identify policy and implementation support needed to overcome barriers to improving and sustaining these maternal telehealth service offerings beyond the COVID-19 pandemic.
