Documenting the Status of Campus Newspapers at Small and Very Small Colleges

This study seeks to create a census of student newspapers, both those currently operating and those that are no longer publishing, at small (fewer than 3,000 enrolled) and very small (fewer than 1,000 enrolled) colleges and universities in North Carolina. Additionally, it will gather information on challenges those publications face now and faced in recent years, as well as how they sought to address those and the results of those efforts.

Barriers Assessment in Dental Education

This study has two objectives. The first is to determine how authentic assessment is currently used in dental school curriculums. The second is to assess what potential barriers might limit the implementation of authentic assessment in more courses. Course directors will be surveyed on their use and barriers to use of authentic assessment to address these objectives.

A Phase 2 Randomized, Open-Label, Active-Controlled Study Evaluating the Safety and Efficacy of an Oral Weekly Regimen of Islatravir in Combination with Lenacapavir in Virologically Suppressed People with HIV

This is a Phase 2, randomized, open-label, active-controlled, multicenter study to evaluate the safety, efficacy, and PK (Pharmacokinetics) of ISL (Islatravir) +LEN (Lenacapavir). Virologically suppressed PWH (People living With HIV) who meet all eligibility criteria will be randomized in a 2:1 ratio to 1 of the following 2 groups: Treatment Group 1 (n = 50) Oral weekly ISL administered with LEN (ISL+LEN) Treatment Group 2 (n = 25) Oral daily bictegravir/emtricitabine/tenofovir alafenamide (B/F/TAF)

Next-Level, Robotic Telescope-Based Observing Experiences to Boost STEM Enrollments and Majors on a National Scale

The purpose of this study is to determine if UNC's to-be-developed "Astrophotography of the Multi-Wavelength Universe!" laboratory curriculum, in which students use fully automated (i.e., robotic) telescopes to collect astronomical images and data, increases students' (1) attitudes, (2) self-efficacy, (3) career intentions, and (4) content knowledge, regarding STEM and astronomy.
