To evaluate the efficacy of nipocalimab compared with placebo on reducing the risk of fetal anemia with live neonates in pregnant participants at risk for severe HDFN.
We are developing a new type of children's book that includes an augmented reality feature in it. This study's purpose is to test those books and see how students in 2nd-4th grade respond to them.
Patient-specific information needed to inform decisions and actions (e.g., additional vaccinations, special considerations when sick) about care for adolescents with IBD is often not available at the point of care and decision making. We believe tailored self-management guidance, available to patients and community providers in a plain-language, tabular format, can improve care quality and completion of evidence-based health actions.
This study aims to find out how doctors in North Carolina who mainly work with kids figure out what is causing a child's symptoms. This includes deciding when to do tests, check-ups, and where to send the child for further evaluation.
Adolescence is a critical period for adopting a healthy lifestyle, avoiding risky behaviors, and preventing disease. Most children will receive the majority of their health education through public school classes. These health classes provide information regarding physical, mental, and emotional health and teach lifelong skills to promote positive health outcomes. Ensuring that health and physical education teachers are receiving proper preparation, education, and professional development to implement the North Carolina Healthful Living Standards is essential to providing youth with accurate and effective health information. Through this study we hope gain a better understanding of the relationship between teacher preparation and teacher comfort for secondary public school health and physical education instructors in North Carolina.
The goal of the study is to determine why some men and women get certain types of head and neck (mouth or throat) cancer, and others do not. If we can identify underlying causes of head and neck cancer, we can determine ways to prevent it from occurring. Collection and analysis of medical records and tumor biology may also lead to more effective treatments and lower the death rate from this disease.
The purpose of the study will be to explore the perceptions surrounding parental support and rejection through surveying Chinese or Taiwanese-American young adults that identify as LGBTQ+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning, or other non-heterosexual or non-cisgender identity).
The purpose of the study is to collect and analyze survey responses from patients who visit the outpatient diuresis clinic at UNC Eastowne in order to gain insights into their perspectives and experiences. Fiscal incentives to reduce the burden of hospital admissions have fueled interest in ambulatory strategies that can better manage heart failure, including clinic-based administration of IV diuretics. Given the clinic was started in 2017, quality improvement initiatives are necessary to continue to improve its services. This study will focus on the patient and collect qualitative data.
To conduct a discrete choice experiment (DCE) to determine what are the most important features of mobile health apps for tobacco cessation. We will conduct cognitive interviews with 10 participants to review the DCE and then fully launch the survey with 1000 participants by contracting with Qualtrics, a survey panel provider.
The purpose of this study is to test the safety and effectiveness of ABBV-CLS-7262 on ALS disease progression.
