Study of Giving Feedback to Residents and Medical Students

Structured feedback for residents and medical students is a necessary component of their growth and development as clinicians. However, a busy inpatient service makes it challenging to find dedicated time for these sessions. Furthermore, trainees often perceive that feedback is a rare occurrence, despite its importance in clinical development. These have implications on the culture of feedback within institutions. We aim to implement structured, weekly feedback sessions to assist in educational growth and development as well as foster a sense of feedback culture. We will provide pre and post surveys to assess the learner's perspective on, and nature of, the feedback.
