The PREVNC Study

Do you have a child, aged 6 months to 17 years of age, who is planning on receiving the COVID-19 vaccine or booster dose?   We are currently conducting a clinical research study to learn about how the levels of PFAS "forever chemicals" in your child's blood impact their immune system response to the COVID-19 vaccine.   Compensation provided.

Metastatic Breast Cancer Interview Study for Patients and Caregivers

Do you have metastatic breast cancer or care for someone with metastatic breast cancer? You may be able to take part in a research study to share your thoughts about conversations with your oncologist about your prognosis. These can be challenging conversations, and we want to hear from you about what is helpful or not helpful in these conversations.

Online COVID-19 - VISION study

In this study, we will follow people who were diagnosed with COVID-19 for the next 18 months. By joining, you will help researchers learn more about the factors that affect symptoms, re-infection, and long COVID-19. Participants who live close to Chapel Hill may be able to take part in an additional study that includes nose swabs and blood draws.

Venetoclax and Azacitidine in Patients with Acute Myeloid Leukemia after Transplant

The purpose of this study is to learn more about the safety of the study drugs (venetoclax and azacitidine) and how well they work compared to Best Supportive Care in patients with AML after stem cell transplant.

Blood Clotting Risk in Blood Cancer Study

People with chronic blood cancers called myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN) have a significantly increased risk of stroke, heart attack, and blood clots compared to the general population. This blood clot risk is only slightly reduced by current treatment. In this study, we are exploring blood tests that may help us learn why people with MPN clot and how current MPN treatment affects those blood tests. This is a blood draw-only study.

Breast Cancer Survivor Narratives on the Transition from Treatment to Survivorship

In this study we want to learn more about the factors that affect quality of life for breast cancer survivors. We also want to learn about the common experiences patients face. What we learn in this study could be used in future research to address overlooked challenges for patients in life after treatment.

Pediatric ACL Walking, Jumping, and Cutting

Have you torn your ACL and are between 7 and 25 years old? Do you want to get back to playing your sport again? You make be able to take part in a study to learn more about ways to improve rehabilitation after ACL injury. You will perform walking, jumping, and cutting tasks along with reaction time tasks. We are also looking for healthy athletes who have never torn an ACL to take part in this study.
