All existing studies estimate the health effects of disability insurance based on reduced form models. This paper fills the gap in the literature by developing a model that allows the estimation of the Social Security Disability Insurance effects on health in a structural way. The structural model enables me to analyze counterfactual scenarios. In particular, I concentrate on the modification of the SSDI program that permits partial benefits for the partially disabled.

There exists limited empirical evidence to inform the structure and content of the current NCAA exit interviews which restricts their impact on post-career health and well-being. This study hopes to bridge that gap and to understand the student-athlete transition experience including outcomes of mental, physical, social, and occupational functioning. In this aim, we are inviting you to participate in an evidence-based, survey addendum to the standard of care exit interview. A total of 120 individuals will be invited to participate in this portion of the study. A subgroup of 30 participants will be invited to participate in a follow-up interview. If you are selected for follow-up, we will reach out to you in no more than 60 days after the completion of this survey.

Racism causes stress that can hurt the health of anyone impacted. This stress can lead to hypertension, depression, diabetes, and more. Early childhood is a time when there is rapid brain development and the brain is as flexible as it will ever be. During this time the brain is also very sensitive to a lot stress. If we can help lower this type of stress when children are young, we it could help them to be healthier as they age. Early childhood includes birth to eight years old.
