A phase II trial of induction and maintenance pembrolizumab and olaparib in locally advanced head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC)

Have you been diagnosed with locally advanced head and neck squamous cell carcinoma? If so, you may be able to participate in a research study to evaluate whether pembrolizumab and olaparib given before and after chemoradiotherapy can improve 1-year progression free survival.

Meningitis B Vaccine Study - Observational

The purpose of this study is to test whether the group B meningitis vaccine (brand name Bexsero) helps protect against the bacteria that causes gonorrhea. The information we learn by doing this study may help us develop a vaccine that protects individuals from becoming infected with gonorrhea.

Breathing and Brain Waves

The purpose of this study is to find out if and how breathing is associated with brain activity. If we find a relationship between breathing and brain activity, we will do future studies to see how targeted breathing exercises could be used for disorders like panic disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, and chronic pain.

Hamstring Vibration and Following ACL Injury

Up to 30% of individuals who injure their anterior cruciate ligaments (ACL) suffer another ACL injury following reconstruction surgery. Improving function of the hamstrings muscles may reduce the risk of a second ACL injury. This study will determine if a novel rehabilitation tool (local muscle vibration) improves muscle function and landing characteristics (biomechanics) that are linked to ACL injury risk. Compensation is provided.

Mapping the Pediatric Inhalation Interface: Nose, Mouth, and Airways

The purpose of this research program is to generate data regarding the ways that the cells and fluids found within the nose, mouth, and airways of children from diverse backgrounds function and interact. This program will generate single-cell level data and "maps" of these cells at the tissue level using a variety of genetic and imaging techniques. These data will then be made available to the larger scientific community who will be able to use the data to better understand the normal functioning of these cells and tissues in healthy children and then further investigate cellular and tissue function in various diseases
