Professionalism is the first of six core competencies required in the curriculum of residency programs. Significant research has been done exploring the domains of professionalism in general and within the context of anesthesiology and anesthesiology training. The purpose of this study is to identify the most commonly perceived domains of unprofessional behavior observed in anesthesiology residency training programs. Additionally, we wish to see if professional lapses may stem from generational differences between teachers and trainees in their perception of professional behavior.
