Digital intervention to improve retention in the cervical cancer care continuum

Cervical cancer is a leading cause of cancer death among South African women. Despite a comprehensive national cancer control policy, cervical screening coverage is low and attrition during onward referrals for diagnostic confirmation and treatment remains common. Cervical screening and onward linkage to care are especially important for HIV-infected women due to their high risk of HPV infection and rapid progression from precancer to invasive cervical cancer. Our team seeks to develop a Digital health intervention, to improve engagement of women with precancer in the cervical cancer care continuum.

Angelman Syndrome Natural History Study

This study is being done to better understand Angelman syndrome (AS). Participants will include both children and adults with a diagnosis of AS. The study will collect data regarding medical, behavioral, and developmental challenges in individuals with AS over time. Participants will be invited to return for yearly clinical evaluations yearly until the study runs out of funding. We hope clinicians will be able to help individuals with AS better if we understand the different pattern of symptoms that appear in individuals with AS over their lifetimes.

Effects of TikTok on Gen Z Sustainability

This study aims to explore Gen Z consumers' purchase behavior on TikTok with a concentration on their care for the environment. The belief that Gen Z is the most important audience to TikTok as it continues to evolve into an E-Commerce app grounds this research, which will seek to answer the following two main questions: Are Generation Z consumers experiencing cognitive dissonance due to fashion purchases made on TikTok? More holistically, how is TikTok affecting how Gen Z consumers feel about environmental sustainability?
