The purpose of this research study is to better understand how people viewed the meaning of their work over the course of their careers. We are specifically looking to recruit UNC alumni who are in the later stages of their careers or retired and are willing to share about how they navigated their careers and what they prioritized in their work at various stages.
Our study seeks to understand how we perceive and are impacted by the current COVID-19 global health pandemic. We ask about how the pandemic has impacted our well-being, our daily life, and our political views. In all versions of our study participants fill out survey questions about these topics. As well, some participants are additionally asked to write about how the pandemic has impacted them, and/or, to read excerpts of news articles about the pandemic.
The purpose of this research study is to develop a new tool to detect early signs of pain in newborns by using advanced computer technology, or artificial intelligence. The information we learn by doing this study may improve our ability to recognize and assess pain the newborns.
The purpose of this study is to understand how individuals develop personalized approaches to leadership. In order to understand how this occurs, we will be interviewing leaders multiple times over the course of a year to understand their unique approach to leadership and how it evolved.

Using a national survey of emergency departments, this study examines the impact of the current Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) shortage amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. By understanding how emergency departments are coping with and adapting to PPE shortages, we hope to discern best practices and contribute to keeping our communities, clinical or otherwise, safe.
The purpose of this study is to understand how healthcare providers in primary care manage older adults with type 1 diabetes. We would like to understand whether they are managing them alone or with endocrinology as well as how comfortable providers are with diabetes management technology.
The purpose of this study is to explore the impact of the NCAA 40/60/80% rule on baseball community college student athletes who want to transfer to a Division I university.
