Exercise and Heart Response Study

We are doing this study to learn if exercise impacts the effect of social tasks on energy use and heart function. Since exercise may impact metabolic factors such as energy use as well as the impact of social situations on cardiovascular disease, we want to see how exercise impacts the effect of social situations on energy and metabolism, and whether this may affect your heart health.

VX-147

People with kidney disease that have the APOL1 risk variant are at a greater risk for developing protein in their urine and chronic kidney disease. This research study is being done to determine if the investigational drug, VX-147 can slow or stop the worsening of kidney function as well as target the underlying cause of kidney disease.

LEAP - Lower Limb Injury Study

Have you had or are planning to have ACL reconstruction? You may be able to take part in a research study to help us learn more about the outcomes following surgery after a lower limb injury. Return to Running After Stroke - A Pilot Study

Antibiotics, Bacteria, and UTI Prevention Study

Recurrent UTIs cause major problems for postmenopausal women. Daily preventative medications can be helpful in decreasing infections, but we don't know how they affect the normal bacteria you have in your bladder, vagina, and gut. If you are starting either daily nitrofurantoin (Macrobid) or daily methenamine hippurate (Hiprex) for prevention of recurrent UTIs, you may be able to take part in a study to see how these medications impact the bladder, vagina, and gut bacteria. Compensation provided.
