Do you have essential thrombocythemia (ET)? If you need to start therapy or your currently therapy is not controlling your ET, you may be able to take part in this research study to find out if a new drug can help normalize your blood count.
If you have been diagnosed with melanoma and need surgery to remove it, you may be able to take part in a research study. In this study, we want to learn whether a smaller incision during melanoma surgery is better or worse than the usual standard of care.

We are testing a new system that uses an electronic resistance exercise band and an 'app' designed for older adults to improve strength and prevent weakness. In the Carolina Blue Project, we want to learn more about work-related stress, eating behaviors, and cardiovascular disease risk factors among law enforcement officers. If you work as a law enforcement officer in any North Carolina or nearby states law enforcement department, you may be able to take part in this study. We do not collect any personally identifiable information. Officers who participate in the project and complete the two required steps will receive a $100 Amazon gift card.
Are you an endometrial cancer survivor that wants to improve your lifestyle? Do you wonder about how different types of sitting (work, transport, TV viewing etc.) may have different cardiovascular disease risk? Are you interested in helping researchers to design a sedentary behavior reduction intervention specifically for endometrial cancer survivors? You may be able to participate in a research study to find out which type of sitting may be associated with cardiovascular disease risk and how to best reduce the behavior. Compensation provided.
