Do you have AML and have received previous chemotherapy or radiation treatment? Are you looking for another treatment option? In this study, we want to see if by adding Pomalidomide a study drug, what dose is the most effective at treating your AML?

Do you have essential thrombocythemia (ET)? If you need to start therapy or your currently therapy is not controlling your ET, you may be able to take part in this research study to find out if a new drug can help normalize your blood count.

If you have been diagnosed with melanoma and need surgery to remove it, you may be able to take part in a research study. In this study, we want to learn whether a smaller incision during melanoma surgery is better or worse than the usual standard of care.

Are you a Black/African American male who experiences chronic pain? You may be able to take part in a research study where you can share your pain experiences.

Are you between 24-28 weeks pregnant with symptoms of depression? Do you have trouble sleeping? You may be able to take part in a research study to learn if a sleep schedule and bright light therapy can reduce or prevent postpartum depression. Compensation provided.

Then you may be eligible for a study to look at the safety and effectiveness of the combination of treatments with rituximab, gemcitabine, dexamethasone, cisplatin and the study drug polatuzumab vedotin

Do you want to help in the design of a new device that can electronically measure and track your strength? We are testing a new system that uses an electronic resistance exercise band and an 'app' designed for older adults to improve strength and prevent weakness. If you have an interest, you may be able to share your opinions on the device with us! We will provide $50 in gas card incentives.

Do you ever feel like your doctor doesn't hear or understand what your needs are? Does it feel like your doctor is always rushing you and there's never enough time to address what's really important in your health. You may be eligible to participate in a focus group study to find out more about what health issues doctors are missing during health appointments and how communication between patient and doctor can be improved.

In the Carolina Blue Project, we want to learn more about work-related stress, eating behaviors, and cardiovascular disease risk factors among law enforcement officers. If you work as a law enforcement officer in any North Carolina or nearby states law enforcement department, you may be able to take part in this study. We do not collect any personally identifiable information. Officers who participate in the project and complete the two required steps will receive a $100 Amazon gift card.

Are you an endometrial cancer survivor that wants to improve your lifestyle? Do you wonder about how different types of sitting (work, transport, TV viewing etc.) may have different cardiovascular disease risk? Are you interested in helping researchers to design a sedentary behavior reduction intervention specifically for endometrial cancer survivors? You may be able to participate in a research study to find out which type of sitting may be associated with cardiovascular disease risk and how to best reduce the behavior. Compensation provided.
