Use of a 3 Tesla and 7 Tesla Magnetic Resonance Imaging Systems to Image Normal Volunteers

The purpose of this study is to determine which new magnetic resonance sequences provide better, faster and more useful information. A sequence is a distinct method of obtaining magnetic resonance (MR) images. A magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) exam is made up of many different imaging sequences. These new sequences will be implemented on either on a 3 Tesla (3T) MR system, a 7 Tesla (7T) MR system (single- or multi- transmit), or both. Since the signal-to-noise ratio for MR images is highly dependent on the magnetic field strength, the anticipated signal-to-noise will be 7T greater than 3T and 3T greater than 1.5T systems. The 3T MR system is FDA approved whereas the 7T system is not FDA approved, but is built to the same standards as other FDA approved scanners. In addition, the FDA has approved magnetic field strength up to 8T for human imaging. Participants will be told ahead

Perceptions, Opportunities, and Potential Barriers for Clinical Pharmacy Practice at University Teaching Hospitals in Zambia

Pharmacy practice in Zambia has traditionally consisted of primarily dispensing responsibilities, yet integration of pharmacists into medical teams has been shown to improve patient outcomes by reducing readmission rates, reducing emergency visits, and improving medication utilization and subsequent costs. As countries continue to demonstrate the benefit of clinical pharmacists on patient care and health outcomes, more institutions are looking to expand the role of the pharmacist. Physicians and nurses are key stakeholders who will be critical to securing support for the development of new pharmacy roles and responsibilities. This study will evaluate attitudes, perceptions, and expectations of pharmacists among physicians and nurses to identify potential areas of opportunity and barriers for clinical pharmacy practice in Zambia.

Episodic Change Detection: an EEG study

Recording brain signals while people learn changing information to see how brain signals differ when people notice that information has changed compared to when people do not notice that information has changed. This will help us understand how memory works in the brain.

A Phase 3, Multicenter, Randomized, Double-blind, Parallel-group, Safety and Efficacy Study of Linaclotide versus Placebo in Pediatric Subjects, Ages 2 to 5 Years, with Functional Constipation (FC) with a 24-week Open-label Treatment Extension

There are no current, approved therapies to treat children ages 2 to 5 with pediatric functional constipation (PFC). Therefore, we aim to evaluate whether linaclotide can be an effective and safe therapy for children with functional constipation (FC) in this age group.
