Meeting Standard 2 provides NC county environmental health food programs a uniform way of recognizing and addressing risky behaviors in food facilities during inspections. Less than half of NC counties currently participate and some are losing interest in remaining a part of the program. This study seeks to increase long-term participation with Standard 2 among NC counties for state-wide uniform interpretation of food safety rules and quality food safety programs in NC counties.
To assess the feasibility and acceptability of a statewide intervention to promote alternatives to incarcerations and evidence-based approaches to the treatment of pregnant and postpartum people experiencing incarceration and substance use disorder, we are conducting a virtual training for NC jail staff and will conduct pre- and post-training evaluations to assess knowledge gained about the topic.
