This study aims to cover gaps in media research to see if stereotyped and oversexualized portrayals of gay men in entertainment media have a positive or negative effect on their mood and body image.

The purpose of this project is to evaluate the following: 1. Are registered pharmacists in North Carolina aware of their authority as immunizing pharmacists to dispense, deliver or administer self-administered oral or transdermal contraceptives to a patient; 2. Of pharmacists that have registered for and completed the NC hormonal contraceptive training, how many have implemented this service for patients; and 3. Complete semi-structured interviews of pharmacists that have or have not implemented the service to understand their motivations and perceptions of and ability to expand access to hormonal contraception and/or address barriers to implementation.

The goal of the study is to study people's intention and their energization regarding general health behaviors. We aim to study energization as a distinct component of motivation. We want to show that people's energetic feelings about a behavior do not always correspond to their intention of performing the behavior.

The main purpose of this extension study is to see if 2 different doses of the study drug help to maintain symptom improvement in UC or CD.

We are wanting to investigate the impact that collaborative online international learning (COIL) involving nursing students from UNC and the University of Sao Paulo Brazil. Specifically, we want to know the impact of COIL on student knowledge, understanding and skill related to family experiences with pediatric chronic health conditions in both countries and other key nursing concepts.

This phase III trial studies if selumetinib works just as well as the standard treatment with carboplatine/vincristine (CV) for subjects with NF1-associated low grade glioma (LGG), and to see if selumetinib is better than CV in improving vision in subjects with LGG of the optic pathway (vision nerves). Selumetinib is a drug that works by blocking some enzymes that low grade glioma tumor cells need for their growth. This results in killing tumor cells. Drugs used as chemotherapy, such as carboplatin and vincristine, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. It is not yet known whether selumetinib works better in treating patients with NF1-associated low-grade glioma compared to standard therapy with carboplatin and vincristine.

A case study of ten biomedical engineering programs in which two universities collaborate on at least a Ph.D. degree. The intent is to identify circumstances that lead to successful inter-university collaboration as measured by research output, including publications and patents, along with patent citations.

The purpose of this study is to see how political affiliations affect views and attitudes toward social and environmental sustainability. In addition, it aims to determine how different political affiliations respond to differently framed sustainable marketing messages. Individuals who take part in this research will be asked to view stimuli featuring a product and its sustainable impact. Then, they will be asked to record what they believe to be a fair price for each product.
