UNC Community Survey: Safety and Wellbeing During COVID-19

We are conducting a research study of UNC community members' preferences for ideas to enhance safety and wellbeing among UNC community members during the COVID-19 pandemic. The purpose of this study is to help researchers understand which strategies the UNC community would prefer to see implemented as the 2020-2021 school year proceeds.

Telemedicine Experiences during the COVID-19 Pandemic

We are doing this study to learn about the experiences of patients who have visited their primary care doctor (UNC Health affiliated clinics/providers) during the COVID-19 pandemic. With the increase in telehealth visits during the pandemic, we want to learn about your experiences! UNC-CH is a partner site for this research with Weill Cornell University. A screened participant list will be sent to Weill-Cornell (primary site) to schedule and initiate interviews.

Health-E from Home: Evaluation of an intervention using a small behavior changes approach to promote health and weight management

The purpose of this study is to evaluate participation in an 8-week community-based, online program for adults that will help them make small changes to their diet, physical activity, and other behaviors to help promote their health or manage their weight. We are interested in who will participate, how much participants will use the program, how many participants are interested in preventing weight gain or losing weight, and how the program will affect eating, physical activity, and stress. This program is based on previous research on approaches the researchers have studied to help people make small changes to their behavior and is being offered in response to an identified need to offer health promotion resources during the COVID-19 pandemic

ScreenNC

The purpose of the study is to collect blood from asymptomatic individuals to screen for antibodies for SARS-CoV2 , which is the virus that causes the COVID-19 illness. We would like to see how many people may have been exposed to the virus but who do not have symptoms of the illness. If there are enough tests available, we may ask you to allow us to also do a nasal or oral swab to test for COVID-19. This study is being done at the following clinics: UNC Family Medicine Center (Chapel Hill), UNC Family Medicine (Wakefield), UNC Women's Health at Eden, UNC Family Medicine Southpoint, UNC Internal Medicine Goldsboro, UNC Family Medicine Airport Road (Kinston), North Chatham Pediatrics and Internal Medicine, UNC Specialty Care Sanford, UNC Family Medicine- Mebane, and UNC Family Medicine- Clayton.
