Denali Interventional Study

This is a multicenter, open-label study to study the safety and characteristics of DNL310, an investigational drug designed to treat both the body and brain manifestations of Mucopolysaccharidosis type II (MPS II; Hunter syndrome). The plan is for each participant to start at a low dose and increase over time until a final dose is achieved. Blood, urine and CSF samples will be taken, and tests and assessments will be done to see how your child is doing in the study.

Walking the Talk: Authenticity as a Sustainable Brand Differentiation Strategy in the Green Marketplace

When companies spend more money and time on portraying themselves as environmentally friendly than on actually minimizing their environmental impact, it is known as greenwashing. Greenwashing has become more common in branding as companies realize that consumers want to support brands which align with their values. This, in turn, has made it more difficult for brands that are actually driven by their values to stand out because of their authentic commitment to the environment. This thesis explores how brands, Diamond Brand Gear (DBG) specifically in this case, can differentiate their sustainability branding strategies from those of other companies who aren't as 'authentically mission-driven' in their commitment to environmental and social responsibility. In order to do this, the research will evaluate perceptions of DBG's brand ethos, values, and sustainability messaging from the perspectives of a variety of stakeholders both within and outside the company.

A survey of biocurators in ClinGen's Inborn Errors of Metabolism Working Group's Variant Curation Expert Panels for the purpose of refining the ACMG/AMP specifications for autosomal recessive disease.

Genetic variants are found in all genes. To find out how a given genetic variant may affect health, doctors and researchers need to figure out whether a given variant can cause disease (pathogenic) or not (benign). A set of guidelines published by the American College of Medical Genetics (ACMG) and Association for Molecular Pathology (AMP) was published in 2015 in order to help. However, these guidelines are very general. The Clinical Genome Resource has formed groups of experts and biocurators (known as Variant Curation Expert Panels, VCEPs) to adapt the ACMG/AMP guidelines for different diseases. We are surveying biocurators from VCEPs working on inborn errors of metabolism (IEMs) to find out which part of the guidelines are difficult for them. Based on the results, we will write more guidelines to help doctors and researchers figure out whether a genetic variant may cause a disease.

Archival Security Practices Study

Theft is an uncomfortable topic in the archival field, which makes archives good environments for potential thieves. This study will discover how archives in New England use the ACRL/RBMS Guidelines Regarding Security and Theft in Special Collections. The goal is to explore if archivists feel the Guidelines promote adequate yet practicable measures and how use of the Guidelines differs in small and large archives. Through a series of interviews with archivists working in New England, this research will contribute to knowledge of real security policies and help answer the question of what security measures work to prevent theft. Specifically, this study will help archival professionals in New England and beyond who are looking to revise their own institution's security policies and want to learn about the practices of others.

Dimensions of Representation

Scholars have long noted that people who hold political office can employ several strategies to best represent their constituents and advance their re-election goals. These include descriptive representation, substantive representation, symbolic representation, allocation, and constituency service. While these strategies are not mutually exclusive representative generally need to focus on some more than others. This study aims to illuminate which forms of representation are most valuable to certain people contingent on their race, political opinions, and psychological traits.
