Researchers often conduct studies on political advertising to understand how ads impact people's vote choice and their favorability of candidates. However, many political ads are not designed to impact vote choice or change perceptions of a candidate. Instead, campaigns use them to raise money or collect people's email addresses to send them messages later. This study seeks to understand if the effects of political ads have along these different lines are related to each other or not.
